The End of an Era

I am saddened to announce that after six years and sixty-eight hilarious videos, the 30-Second Bunnies Theatre, run by Angry Alien Productions, is ending its run and coming to an end. What is the 30-Second Bunnies Theatre? It’s a series of 30-second-ish long Flash Animations which re-enact famous movies… cast entirely with anthropomorphic bunny rabbits.

Yes, you did, in fact, read that last bit correctly.

Over the years, the bunnies have done everything from Die Hard (my personal favorite) to Star Wars to a medley of the James Bond movies (my second favorite) to classics like It’s a Wonderful Life, Casablanca, and Gone with the Wind. There’s even a few cult classics like Highlander and Evil Dead II (the bunnies’ final performance) too.

I first discovered the bunnies about two years ago, thanks to  blogbro Tim. Somehow or another, he came across the James Bond Medley, figured that I’d like it, and sent it to me. I’ve been hooked ever since, eagerly awaiting the troupe’s next release.  But now the bunnies’ run has come to an end.

The site’s still going to stay online, the videos are still going to be posted, but it just won’t be the same. No more anticipating the bunnies’ next side-splitting performance, no more laughing hysterically at 1:00 in the morning watching the latest sketch, no more arguing with Tim on whether or not said newest sketch was worth staying up until 1:00 in the morning to watch. I’m going to miss it.

To the crew of Angry Alien Productions, I wish you guys the best of luck in your upcoming ventures. And to the bunnies who brought the Internet six years of laughs, I wish you fair skies and green pastures. I’m gonna miss you guys.
