Ten years, billions of dollars, and one Transportation Safety Administration after September 11, 2001, you think that we’d have learned something about airport security. Well guess what? Apparently we haven’t.
Remember the Christmas Day Bomber? The one who tried to blow up Northwestern Airlines Flight 253 with a bag full of plastic explosives last Christmas? Well, apparently the same intelligence failures that allowed the 9/11 attacks to happened also allowed this scumbag to board Northwestern 253 with a baggie full of PETN and almost blow up the airliner.
You can read the full report from the Senate Intelligence Committee here.
Now, I’m confused, but didn’t Obama promise us that these mistakes wouldn’t be repeated under his watch? Looks like another promise he’s failed (or refused) to deliver on. Apparently he and his administration are too concerned with labeling people like me as potential terrorists instead of chasing after the real terrorists. How safe does that make you feel?
